After serving as a Trial Attorney for the United States Department of Justice from 1984 to 1994, I opened my sole proprietorship in Oxon Hill, Maryland, in July 1996, and have remained in the same location since then. Although I continue to handle criminal cases ranging from DUI to murder, I also provide competent representation in family law, civil rights, personal injury, and general litigation. In addition to representing litigants at trial, I have an active and successful appellate practice, so if things don't go well at trial, I can keep fighting for you on appeal. My hourly rates are very reasonable, and I accept certain types of cases on contingency ("no win-no pay"). I never charge for initial consultations.
